Hi Guys,
How are we?
I am fighting a summer cold, they are just the best aren't they.!!
Anyway I have really been getting back my sewing flare and I have a few projects on the go following the awesome Sewing meet up (organized by the lovely Rachel) I went to a few weekends ago. Nothing gets the creative juices following like being surrounded by other sewers. Especially when there is like 50 of them!!!
I was going to make something especially for the meet up, but decided to wear my vontrap dress :) as it is one of my favorite things I have made so far. I met Emmie at South Kensington station and we wondered down to the V&A meet up point which I have never been to before and I must take a trip there soon. Who's in??!!!
There we were greeted by Rachel and I got to meet many other ladies, we all then wondered down to Goldhawk Road which is a dress makers fabric mecca! I mean I have lived in West London all my life and I have NEVR been there before. What is up with that?
Emily, Carly & I (on the right) wondered round the numerous fabric shops trying to restrain ourselves, there was seriously so much choice. My obsession of the day was the coat made & worn by Kim (on the left i) I gushed over it all day and then went home & brought the pattern. I am sure I freaked her out just a tad!!! So for good stalking type measure I borrowed (stole) this picture of it from her blog! Sorry Kim I just love it!!!
I was really good & only purchased 3 bits of material for specific projects... well up until I found an amazing squirrel/rabbit/acorn navy fabric for £3 a meter and I just had to have it.
Sorry for the crappy picture |
It's ok I have found the perfect pattern for it and I can't wait to share all my completed projects with you guys.
Well I hope you guys are having a great day.
I'll be back soon!!
Ciao for now
Love Katrina xx
