Getting my Knit on!

Hi Guys,
How are we?

I hope you are enjoying today's weather. I'm not feeling too great today, I have a summer cold :( However I will not let it get me down even if it feels like I have swallowed some razor blades & my head is doing a Linda Blair. Boo!!!!

If you follow me on instagram you'll know my lovely friend Ma Walsh is teaching me to knit.
It was slow progress in the beginning but it has now clicked and I am doing well.

Here is a knitted flag I made during practice :)
It has always been a goal of mine to learn to knit but what actually gave me the push to learn was that I had been looking for a mustard colour bobble hat last winter but I couldn't find one I liked. Once winter passed it sort of slipped my mind.  Then The Daily Mail newspaper gave away a little booklet full of cute knitting patterns including this awesome ribbed bobble hat pattern by Anna Wilkinson and well as they say the rest is history.

As I said I want a mustard colour bobble hat so I won't be doing the colour change but I do love the pink and Mustard together. I am using this lovely Barley Signet wool that I brought from eBay for £2.49 a ball along with some circular knitting needles.

All in all including postage it cost me just under £10, which is a lot cheaper than the other bobble hats I found and all the money goes to the Sue Ryder Charity. :) Now I have about 5 months to finish it. Wish me luck!!!

I hope I don't get in trouble for sharing this, as well.. it was free in the newspaper but for anyone who wants to join me in making this cute hat drop me an email to muffintopvintage@hotmail.co.uk  & I'll send the pattern over to you.

Have super day!

Ciao for now!
Love Katrina x
