Lovarni guest blog - Current Season Trends of 2012

With the crisp autumn season honoring us with its presence, it is that time of year again where we must rethink our wardrobe choices and opt for our warm winter wools. Whilst many of us throw our summer dresses and skirts to the back of the closet, a minority utilize them to correspond with the new seasons trends. Whilst it is admirable for a woman to recycle her clothing from one season to the next, it is important that you purchase a couple of statement pieces to freshen up your wardrobe with a fusion of both casual and evening wear. As the festive period draws closer and we attempt to tighten our purse strings in a bid to save up for Christmas presents and other celebratory events, it is no surprise that we are all looking for designer clothing that will fit into our budget. Here are some of my favourite fashion ready pieces from the latest autumn winter collection to drop at Lovarni.

House of Dereon Long Sleeve Sound Wave Dress

From the brand formed by Beyonce and her mother, this long sleeved dress by House of Dereon has ‘autumn’ written all over it. Incorporating the shades of autumn leaves with a flattering geometric pattern, this piece ticks all of the right boxes for the current trends of the season. Versatility is the key when it comes to selecting garments that will get you noticed, choosing a dress that can also be worn as a top or tunic will enable you to achieve a variety of outfits whilst on a budget. Transform your day dress into an evening worthy look by teaming it with a pair of shoe boots, gold jewellery and accessories for a seasonal style.

 Lipsy Peplum Chevron Dress

Feminine glamour meets rock chic with this evening dress that combines a sweetheart bandeau neckline with a PU trim for a sleek finish. Lipsy is renowned for providing women with a varied range of party dresses which incorporate the freshest fashion trends of the moment. Whilst peplum styles give ladies with an athletic frame the delusion of curves, opting for a panel design will portray a smaller, curvier figure but tricking the eye. The classic black and white chevron style makes the dress easy to wear and accessorise. For a look that will never age, wear with a pair of black Mary Jane heels and a smart black blazer to keep the chill at bay.

Diva Carla Gathered Pencil Dress

After making a comeback in spring/summer 2012, midi dresses have no intention of going away any time soon. This magenta purple Diva dress from Lovarni’s collection of Diva dresses is a sure winner this autumn. Featuring a bodycon style, cap sleeves and gathering at the waist, this gown hugs your body in all of the right places to help you showcase a flawless womanly figure. For an effortless yet classic style, go for an updo hairstyle combined with barely-there make up and let your statement dress do the talking.

MinkPink Enlisted Anorak Fur Hooded Jacket

Last but certainly not least, a winter coat is an essential investment for any winter season in the UK due to the changeable British weather. Choosing a versatile jacket in a neutral colour will enable you to achieve several fashionable looks on a budget. Whether you decide to wear this jacket open or fastened, with the waist tightened or loose, there are many garments you could pair this MinkPink jacket with. Featuring four visible pockets, a drawstring waist and a faux fur hood, the attention to detail portrays the quality of the coat. Opting for an elasticated waist design or something similar will accentuate your small waist and add definition to your look.

With so many new styles to experiment with this season both on the high street and online at Lovarni, you will be able to have fun playing around with current trends whilst achieving a fashion forward look.

  1. My experiences of shopping with Lovarni was really negative.

I ordered a size 14 skirt, and I am a small size 14, and like a bit of give. It was TINY. I measured the waist band and it only measured 30 inches, ie the measurement of a high waisted 12.

Even though this is there problem, Lovarni wouldn't refund the 4.99 postage and packaging. Awful practice. They should label their clothing correctly or look after their customers, particularly when their postage and packaging costs are so high.

I would never shop with Lovarni again, I don't recommend anyone else shops at Lovarni. They do not look after their customers, and they sell faulty mislabelled merchandise.
