Hurry up Spring - Laura Ashley SS14

Hi Guys,

How are we? I'm drafting this while sitting on the train to work. I figure write when the feeling strikes me, so train to work it is.

Before Christmas the lovely ladies at Laura Ashley invited to preview their lovely SS14 selection and I had been planning to blog about it but time ran away so here it finally is. Which is quite funny as it's just launched! 

As I've said before Laura Ashley is one of my favourite British brands and I must say their collections never fail to excite me.

Don't you love the red and blue mix!!

Spring is a funny time of the year, its about getting your layers right but I never get it right! I guess its one of life's puzzles.

That's why this blouse from the SS14 collection would definitely be a must have for me as It's easily convertible. For colder days I'd layer it up under a dress, a snuggly cardi, tights & boots. For warmer ones I'd add pumps, a denim skirt & top it off with a messy bun. Aren't the pearls pretty!

I also love this red dress!!

For me it's the perfect mixture of work and personality. I am not a fan of boring work suits or constant grey. I think you'd agree we get enough of that with the British sky at times.

My favourite item from the collection would be this pink gingham dress.

I love the vintage feel to it, I imagined wearing it while frolicking in a field & eating a picnic. Sticky jam sarnies, strawberries and pink lemonade would be my picnic basket must haves.

There were so many pretty items, I wish I could have taken them all home!
